Seniors: Tanner Class of 2012 (Concord, NC senior pictures)

I looked him straight in the eye and said, trust me, dark jeans are the way to go.  My thoughts on fashion and Tanner's thoughts on fashion weren't exactly eye to eye.  But that's ok, because I was right and he was wrong.  duh.  

Tanner, my husband's cousin, came to visit us this fall and we definitely made time for his senior pictures while he was here.  Of course, he indulged me in a little shopping for the perfect clothing for our shoot.  I told him to trust me on the dark jeans.  His mother thanked me later.  Tanner, an eagle scout who loves to be outdoors, quickly turned down any jeans with bling but the dark wash...that he was ok with.  Come to think of it, why didn't we take before and after shots??  I feel fairly certain Tanner is now in the dark jeans club although he may never admit I was right.  

We used one of his favorite shirts from his own "collection" and just spruced it up with a nice half zip sweater.  I must say I was loving the popped color in a few of the shots.  I talked him into a totally rockin watch which someone (TANNER!) forgot for the shoot.  He suggested I "just photoshop" it into all the final portraits.  It is clear that I did not have an extra 14 hours of photoshop hours in my back pocket for that endeavor and therefore he is watchless in his portraits.  

Tanner, you have grown into such a cool young man.  We are all so excited to see you so happy and to graduate from high school and see what else is in store for you.  You are welcome at our place anytime...especially when you are so good at entertaining the children.  We love you!
